I've been meaning to post one of these and I keep forgetting. Anyways, other than most of the "writer's block" questions, this journal is friends only. More information will be added to this post at a later date.

Who is the most important man in your life?

View 799 Answers

Without a doubt, my father is the most important man in my life.

warning, this might get a little cheesy/cringeworthy!

From the day I was born, I was kind of ~destined to be close to my father. He named me after his (dead) sister, which he's told me countless times that she was his best friend growing up..they were close, I'm assuming..I never really ask about dead relatives..anyways, we look so much alike as we both have dark hair and light eyes and tan skin, which none of my other siblings have.

Our personalities are also similar..except he has a tenancy to speak his mind even if it offends people, as apposed to me who does not..We both have a fire in our hearts and determination for something. He's usually my no 1 supporter and guider in life. He may be hesitant, but he always comes around.

Sure he gets on my nerves sometimes, but I know my life would be much different without him. He had a rather rough upbringing and did not want that for us and I respect him so much for that. Instead of resenting his world, he tried to make it better. When he brother died, he told me that he could have either mourned his death and never moved on or he could move on and start a new life with a new family. I'm glad he choose the later.

So basically, this is why my father is the most important man in my life..I don't have a boyfriend or close friend who is a guy or anything like that. xD

What’s your biggest pet peeve?

View 702 Answers

Guhh, I have too many of these

My biggest pet peeve is when someone says they are a fan of a band/singer and only know one song from them (usually their most popular song) but claim to be their number one fan..that drives me completely insane for some reason.

I also hate when people claim to be harry potter fans, but only see the movies and not read the books. -_- basically most of my friends haha

Do you keep your LiveJournal a secret from someone?

View 1204 Answers

No I don't keep my livejournal a secret from others. I've mentioned to my journalism classmates that I keep a journal and post about my misadventures of everyday life and they seem to be interested in it. I've never met anyone in real life that has a livejournal though..to be honest, I'd be weary of them reading my entries.

So from that; yes, I tell people about my livejournal, no, I probably would want a real life friend or someone I know to read my journal.

What’s your favorite show on television?

View 811 Answers

Glee. Hands down, no contest. Yes, it's awful at some times and I really want to rage when I see certain episodes, but it's my favourite show to critique and to enjoy. I love the music and those two in my icon. :D ♥

Honourable mentions to Misfits, Gossip Girl (don't judge. I haven't watched a full episode in a year, I only watch for chuck/blair) Skins (gen. 1 only) and lost (season 1-3 only)

If my classmates knew how much television I watch, they'll probably think I'm dorkier than they thought. xD I watch a lot of television.

List three books that have changed your life:

View 1009 Answers

Three books? Um, let me see if I can think of three.

Well first off, this is going to be an obvious choice, but the Harry Potter series has changed my life. I know the series is more than three books, but whatever. I'm fully aware that most are going to say that these books have changed their lives and add some cheesy backstory and I doubt you want to hear that from me, so I'm going to keep it short. I don't think I would be the person I am today if it wasn't for J.K. Rowling. I just have a better understanding of myself and others around me because of the series. I cannot imagine me growing up without the series. It's shaped my personality growing up and became an inanimate companion through these years.

Second Story would be "The Glass Castle," a Memoir that I read during my summer before my final year of high school. It was kind of an eye opener and was one of the reasons I decided to become a journalist.

Where were you?

I was eight years old and in grade four on September 11th 2001. I don't really remember much about the day, but I do remember our teacher telling us a bit of what happened during the day. I remember walking home with my sister and it being one of those really beautiful autumn days outside. I got home and my mum was telling me that people were saying the world was going to end and certain people took their children out of school early. There was also no television shows on in the afternoon. I remember my dad coming home from work and the television switched to CNN for the next several days. I think at that point, I knew that this was something that was going to be remembered for a long time. I didn't understand much of the day, or as much as I do now. It's crazy how it's been ten years to the day today as it seems like since a short while ago.

If you could travel back in time, what would you tell your 10-year-old self?

Anyways, I've made my fair share of mistakes when I was ten years old, but hey, I was ignorant! I didn't know better and I'm pretty sure I know much more than I did back then.

The one thing I would tell ten year-old me is to not to listen to what other people think. It can tear you apart and bring you down when you do. You can become a totally different person, someone you cannot recongise anymore..I don't take other people's (negative) opinions of myself to heart anymore, but at ten years old, I did. I wish I didn't.

Another thing I would say is to be true to yourself, follow your heart, and to do your own thing. Do things that make you happy. Life's too short to be miserable.

Which books will you certainly read to your children, nieces, nephews or godchildren?

I think the reason why I'm very much in love with reading and books is because my parents (or my mum only since my dad doesn't read english well) read to me at a very young age and brought me to the library whenever I wanted to. I hope to let my children/nieces/nephews/godchildren read anything they wish to read. Hopefully I will be able to pass down the magic of reading to them someday. (because let's face it, there's something magically about opening a brand new book)

Of course, I will make sure to steer them away from any books that involve sparkly vampires, but I doubt those books will still be around by the time I have any kind of child in my life anyway.

What was the biggest lesson learned from your adolescence?

Submitted By [info]peaceful

My biggest lesson learned from my adolescence (keep in mind that I still am an adolescent) is to never taken the opinions of other about you seriously, especially those who do not know you well. This is probably one of my biggest mistakes and I have tended to make this one over and over again. I've let other people's opinions and so called "guidance" interfere with my life and it has created nothing but problems and so much unnecessary drama. I know me better than anyone else and I know what's in my best interests at heart. This doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to ignore those that mean well and give me good advice, I'm talking about the people who do mean the total opposite.
